Welcome to Your Keweenaw Community Foundation

Who Are We?

Incorporated in 1994, Keweenaw Community Foundation is a non-profit, community organization created by and for the people of Houghton and Keweenaw counties. We’re here to help our donors For good. For ever.

What’s Our Mission?

We inspire giving that invests in our community’s quality of life.

How Do We Do It?

We provide financial support to qualified tax-exempt organizations for projects aimed at solving community problems and enhancing life in our community. KCF plays a selected leadership role through service as: a catalyst for change, a partner for other local organizations, and as a resource for solutions to emerging community needs.

We have developed endowments of over $6,600,000 with 90 funds meeting diverse community needs:

Areas of focus include:

  • Community Development
  • Arts and Culture
  • Health and Human Services
  • Education
  • Youth
  • Natural Resources
  • Economic Development
